In the series ca.1984 I wanted to capture one of the most iconic and influential places in any child’s life: Disney World. From marveling at Magic Kingdom’s towering castle to riding the monorail to canon balling in the hotel pool, these experiences left an indelible mark on me. Through these images I wanted to capture the enduring sense of wonder and nostalgia Disney World invokes in me. I spent time experimenting with old point-and-shoot cameras and different films until I arrived at the right light and color that matched the Disney World from my childhood memories.
